Blessings!!

I am gonna try so much harder to get better about this blogging business!  I don't have any fun pictures to attach to this blog just some good ol words describing some of the A-MAZING things I am so very thankful for!

I am thankful for an amazing husband and 3 beautiful children!  Seriously, I read stories of people who have either lost a child or have sick children and it makes me pause and realize how I am so incredibly blessed!  Then I also hear of women who aren't so lucky to have a husband in their lives or even a husband who is helpful, loves his family, and is an amazing spiritual leader!

I am thankful for 2 best friends in my mom and sister!  We have been together through thick and thin and believe me it has been a lot that we have been through!  I would not change them for the world.  They are very giving and loving women whom I truly admire!

I am thankful for my church family which also includes some AMAZING friends.  I have never seen a group of people so giving and willing to help each other out! I feel blessed that God placed us where we are.

I am thankful for my part time job at Joyful Noise that allows me to be around Godly women, place my children in a Christian environment, and play with some really cute kids whom I love very much!

And I am thankful for having a roof over my head and very fortunate to have a nice roof over my head!

Obviously I am thankful for many many more things but these are just a few I wanted to take time to list!
Feel free to leave a comment of some of the sweet things you are thankful for.  Sometimes we tend to overlook the small things we are thankful for!

2 blog updates in one day??

I need to do one more update!  I remembered some cute words that I needed to blog about so I can remember the kids saying them later!  This won't be for some of my 4 followers virgin ears or eyes so beware!

Rex and Rylee for some reason have a hard time saying some of the same words such as chapstick, glasses, and April.  Their version of them are as follows...

Chapstick...Ass stick
Glasses...Asses
April (their favorite Aunt)... Uppers!

SOOO cute!

THE BEHEMOTH IS FINISHED!!!!

If it seemed like I may have been yelling in the title of this post, I WAS!! I am so excited that I finally finished the behemoth (Rylee's dresser)!  Some of you (my 4 followers) may remember that I bought a dresser for $13 at Goodwill!  Well I call it the behemoth because it is sooo huge!!  I wasn't gonna buy it but I sent a picture to my good friend Danielle and she totally saw the potential in it for me.  So with her prodding me, I got it.  It sat in the garage for a little while and eventually I got fed up with her closet and worked on THE BEHEMOTH!  I actually primed it with Kilz, then rolled on some paint with a roller.  HUGE mistake.  It looked horrible!  So, another of my good friends Angela Caddell let me borrow her handy dandy sander!  So now I sanded it down to get rid of the hideous rolled on paint.  This time I brushed on the paint.  At this point let me add that I went and spent as much on a new paint brush as I did the whole dresser! Yes that's right, I spent $13 on a paint brush but it truly made a huge difference!  So... I brushed it on and let it dry!  Then I got my Valspar glaze and started rubbing it on with a dry towel.  Well upon further inspection it just didn't have the look I wanted doing it this way so I got a wet rag and wiped the glaze off.  So I read up on some other blogs on how to glaze and found out it's actually better to wipe it with a wet towel.  So... I re glazed it and wiped it with a wet towel!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE the finished product!  I also painted the original knobs with ORB and they also turned out great!  However, as you will see the knob for the middle door broke.  So now I have to try to find something to match it!!  Let me know what you think!  Also, if any of my 4 blog followers out there find a bench or dresser (a short one) for a good price please let me know because I want to put it as an entry table or use the bench in the entry area!  I'm addicted!
Before!!

After!  The picture did not turn out very well at all!! Bummer! But it really looks great!

And I did it all for this sweet princess!

Stay tuned for more furniture redo's because I love doing them now!!

AAAHHH!!! Enjoying some much needed quiet time!

It has been awhile since my last blog! I am "claiming" that I have just been too busy to do it when in all actuality I have just been "too busy"  reading other peoples blogs.  As I have confessed before, I am addicted to reading other peoples blogs! I love it!  So anywho, on with my new post...
I recently redecorated one of my living room walls by spray painting some of my picture frames blue or white.  I would love to include a picture but I have sent my camera with my in laws on their vacation!  So, take my word for it, it looks pretty good if I must say so myself.  I put a bench below all the frames now I just need to make a cushion to go on the bench which would be a lot easier if I had a sewing machine! So for now my guests rear ends will just have to ache when they sit there! :-)  In the midst of redecorating my wall I also picked up a HUGE dresser at the Goodwill store for $13!! Can you believe that?? I wasn't gonna get it but my good friend Danielle talked me into it.  I sent her a picture phone text and she saw the potential in it! My plan is to paint it an ivory color and maybe doing some glazing to distress it.  I have only primed it so far.  It is gonna take me a while to get it finished but stay tuned and I will show a finished product at some point! So without further adew....

I named it the Behemoth because it is sooo large!  But it will be perfect for all of Rylees clothes.

Along with taking on the behemoth I also took on a special project called Joyful Noise!  I am now teaching our mothers day out program at church.  There are 12 toddlers in our class and they are all a blessing in their own way!  Along with teaching, I am also sending my kiddos for some learning time!  Here are some pics I took of our first day of school!

Being the good mom that I am, I did not get a picture of little Maxy before he went!  As you can imagine he had a sweet smile on his face taking it all in stride (he is only 8 months old so he could care less).  I had to get the before picture of me looking all confident!  If only I had gotten the after picture you would see my frazzledness (probably not a word but sounds good in this situation).

Sorry this blog is so long, I just had some catching up to do!

All encompassing!!

This post is probably gonna be all over the place.  I got the idea from my good friend Danielle to blog about everything and make a book about it to remember things by so I am going to try to use this for that reason!

First, I have to start out with some of the (many many) reasons I absolutely love and adore my kids! I think it is so so cute how the say their cute little things!  Some of my favorite things that I love my kids say and have said in the past are...

Rexy
Bob Bob...Spongebob
Superene...Trampoline
Vooma...Grandma
Where us going...Where are we going?
Packern...Popcorn
Radybug...Ladybug
Hot tub...Pool
Wearawear...Underwear
Dog Dogs...Hot dogs
Percture...Picture
*Biaper...Diaper (For some reason this was my favorite when he was little)

These are only some of the ones I can remember right now.  But I love when Josh tells Rex and Rylee they are Pete and Repeat and Rex says "yeah Repeat and Repeat".  I also love when we are headed to church and he says "whats called my teacher?" (His way of asking who his teacher is gonna be) because we are there so much!! :-) And when he says "Jesus is my superhero!"  That one will make and mommas heart melt!  I know I will come up with soooo many more so I plan to blog those as I come up with them so stay tuned!  We are also starting to read the Bible to Rex now and I started in Genesis.  To begin with I am teaching him what testament this book is in as well as what Genesis and Sin means.  He now knows Genesis means the beginning and knows that sin is when you do something bad.  Of course right now at 3.5 "something bad" consists of pooping his pants!

Rylee
Bob Bob...Spongebob
Tookies...Cookies
Nana...Banana
Showder...Shower (Which she also calls a bath)
Chocit...Chocolate

Everything Rex says now she repeats as you read above.  So they are Pete and Repeat.  I know there is more I am missing but for now this is all I can remember.  Also, Rylee who I call my peanut because she is soooo stinkin tiny, just had her 2nd birthday!  She DID NOT like being the center of attention but LOVED LOVED LOVED the dress up clothes she got!  At her checkup she was still only in the 8th percentile weighing in at a whopping 22 pounds while her little brother is 7 months old and 18 pounds!

These are a couple of my new fave pics!! I always have to include pics of course!  The first one is Rylee at church with her buddy Victorias sunglasses on!  Next, is Rex sleeping.  I like this pic because it shows how he has toys in bed with him.  He takes toys to bed with him and sleeps with them and if he wakes up in the middle of the night to come sleep with us he brings the toys in with him.  The next pic is seriously one of my all time faves!! Little Max peeking over the pillows.  It was soooo cute!  He would peek up at us and start laughing.  And last is my little man taking a bath with his funny smile.  Man I love these kids!

P.S.  I am still working on the furniture project!  I got the first layer of paint on and had some issues so I need to sand a little more and paint some more but I DO NOT plan on doing any of that til it cools down a little bit!

Addicted to Blogging!

I have recently found a new interest in looking at blogs!! Oh my word there are sooooo many interesting ones that I am hooked on now! WIth that being said, I am now inspired.  I am going to be working on redoing some furniture for my house.  I got a end table off of craigslist for free (pictures at the end) that I am going to try to redo and might end up actually using as a bedside table for Rylees room.  Have any of you all tried this yet?  Wish me luck! I know it won't be easy but I think it is super rewarding to revamp an old piece of furniture!  I figured I would start with a free piece of furniture first! Smart thinking right?! So I will post the before picture and when (or if) I get it done, I will post the final pictures!

So its rough but I love the detail of it and with some paint and new hardware it will hopefully be a jewel!

Finally in the new home!

Once again it has been a while!! We got moved into our new house and haven't had internet until today.  So, my first order of business is to update my blog of course!! I have lots of pics to blog about because as we all know, my favorite part of blogs is pics and stories! So, here I go....

Here is a couple of pics of my kiddos asleep on the floor of the new house!! This was before we had beds put together! Poor babies, they started out on soft pallets and moved around all over the place!

As some of you may know I have been trying to find a good deal on a kitchen table! We got one and painted it and recovered the chairs and it didn't turn out well, also there was only 4 chairs!  So, my moms neighbor was trying to sell this one for $350 and I offered her $150.  She wouldn't take it however, she called back a month later and took $200! It was an amazing deal!  It's beautiful.  In the next pic is Rylees new bedspread!! I have been looking everywhere for one that I love! Well my mom was at Target and found this one! It combines brown and pink which I LOVE!!

And these are just some random pics I had to add!! First one is of Rex not wanting to take a pic in the Davey Crockett hat at Frontier City!  Next is my little happy man Max taking a bath.  He absolutely loves his baths.  I plan on getting video of it because he just giggles and kicks around!  And last pic is Josh and the kids at Lowes! I couldnt resist this pic! I barely ever get them all together! I had the kids contained so I could get a good one!

Been a while!!

It has been a while since I have been able to post to my blog!! I have however been keeping up with my friends blogs and started thinking, what is it about blogs that interests me so much. So I finally figured it out! I love love love seeing other peoples pictures as well as reading what is going on in their lives and their insight into their crazy lives. So with that being said here is my newest blog that will contain lots of random pictures just for the fun of it!!

We are supposed to close on our house on April 29th.  We are trying to get all of the finishing touches done right now so we can still close on time! I love my inlaws but this move is long overdue! And I also now know that ALL things work for the good of God! I have always known that but I love seeing things come together and I now see some of the reasons God put my family in this situation. So....

Maxy is almost 4 months old now, in fact he will turn 4 months old on the day we are supposed to close on our house!! He is trying to roll over now which you think would be easy since he is such a chunk but he hasn't mastered it yet.

And then there is Rex and Rylee!! Rex is becoming his daddies best friend! They go everywhere together! And Miss Rylee is my little buddy! I cannot wait until we can go get mani/pedis together! She is starting to really talk a lot and is getting pretty clear.  On the way home from church last week she kept saying, "Mommy, I'm happy"  It was so cute.  She is a sassy britches but I love her to pieces! And now....The pictures!

These are my cute random pics of Rex! I love this little boy sooooo much! He is growing up so quickly right before my eyes!! My favorite saying of his now is, "Jesus is our super hero!"

As I said earlier she is sassy but OH SO CUTE!! The second pic is of her with chocolate all over her face yelling "NO!!" at me after I took it away from her to get her cleaned up! Love this little girl so much too! We are buds and can't wait to be best friends with her when she gets older!!

Thats a big ol boy but he is soooo sweet!! He is always smiling.  I love his sweet spirit!

Did I think this would be easy?

Well we are almost 7 weeks into being a family of 5 and I am wondering if I thought before this new precious little guy came that it would be easy?  I remember hearing some people say that going from 2 kids to 3 kids is easy!  I am here to tell ya it is not easy! I think I have only made one trip out and about by myself with all 3 of them and it was to run into the health food store! At one point all 3 of them were crying! Good times! But of course I would never trade any of them for the world!

Max is now smiling at us! So we got tons of pics of the first smile!

However, when trying to get a picture of all 3 kids all under the age of 3 you must remember to remain patient (which I did not)! I am figuring I will probably never be able to get a picture of all 3 of them together while they are this young!

Have you noticed through this point all of my punctuation is !!!

Runnin from the storm

I got the great idea for us to run from the storm in case we lose power! As some of you may know, we are living with my inlaws who are also raising 3 of our nieces! If we were to lose power, we would be stuck in a house all weekend with 10 possibly 13 people if Josh brother and his kids showed up too.  Hence, the running to Texas!

So we ran (drove) and enjoyed an awesome weekend just shopping and hanging out!  I highly recommend this for the next storm!

Here is a picture of the happy family enjoying the merry-go-round at the Frisco mall! I know, Josh looks like he is enjoying it way more than the kids! We had a blast at this mall!

The kids loved the play area since it was a change of scenery! The slides were a little too fast for Rylee because everytime she went down she would scream and cry at the end! Of course she chose to do this when Josh went shopping (sounds bad, but he was there helping me and I sent him to go shopping! He is an awesome helper) so as I was nursing Max she would just lay on the floor and cry since I couldnt get over there to pick her up! But in true southern style, I met a nice lady that would pick her up and bring her to me every time!

Hope everyone enjoyed my first blog post! Leave me some comments and let me know what you think since I am new at all this!
