If it seemed like I may have been yelling in the title of this post, I WAS!! I am so excited that I finally finished the behemoth (Rylee's dresser)! Some of you (my 4 followers) may remember that I bought a dresser for $13 at Goodwill! Well I call it the behemoth because it is sooo huge!! I wasn't gonna buy it but I sent a picture to my good friend Danielle and she totally saw the potential in it for me. So with her prodding me, I got it. It sat in the garage for a little while and eventually I got fed up with her closet and worked on THE BEHEMOTH! I actually primed it with Kilz, then rolled on some paint with a roller. HUGE mistake. It looked horrible! So, another of my good friends Angela Caddell let me borrow her handy dandy sander! So now I sanded it down to get rid of the hideous rolled on paint. This time I brushed on the paint. At this point let me add that I went and spent as much on a new paint brush as I did the whole dresser! Yes that's right, I spent $13 on a paint brush but it truly made a huge difference! So... I brushed it on and let it dry! Then I got my Valspar glaze and started rubbing it on with a dry towel. Well upon further inspection it just didn't have the look I wanted doing it this way so I got a wet rag and wiped the glaze off. So I read up on some other blogs on how to glaze and found out it's actually better to wipe it with a wet towel. So... I re glazed it and wiped it with a wet towel! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the finished product! I also painted the original knobs with ORB and they also turned out great! However, as you will see the knob for the middle door broke. So now I have to try to find something to match it!! Let me know what you think! Also, if any of my 4 blog followers out there find a bench or dresser (a short one) for a good price please let me know because I want to put it as an entry table or use the bench in the entry area! I'm addicted!

Before!!
After! The picture did not turn out very well at all!! Bummer! But it really looks great!
And I did it all for this sweet princess!
Stay tuned for more furniture redo's because I love doing them now!!
